Levels 1 & 2 Recycling Operations NVQ Qualifications

Suitable for

All employees working in the public, private and community recycling sector.

Description

QSP provides these qualifications to encourage best practice. The awards are assessed to a national standard, to ensure that employees to have the skills necessary to perform their role effectively.

Each award can be tailored to the role an employee performs. It covers all aspects of the collecting, sorting and processing of recyclable materials. The award includes units concentrating on service delivery performance, health and safety and team working skills.

Method of Delivery

Practical assessment of candidates' on-site competence conducted by a qualified and experienced Awarding Body approved Assessor*.

Employees will be assessed on their understanding of health and safety, working with others and maintaining standards of service.

Recognition

On the successful completion of these qualifications candidates receive an NVQ Certificate of Achievement along with their portfolio which has recorded their achievement to keep as reference.

Notes - Level 1 Recycling Operations : To achieve the full qualification candidates must complete 9 units - all mandatory units (4) and at least (5) other units from their chosen pathway before they can achieve a full qualification.

Notes - Level 2 Recycling Operations: To achieve the full qualification candidate must complete as least 12 units all mandatory units (5), at least three units from Section A (3), all mandatory units from their chosen pathway (2) and at least 2 other units from their chosen pathway (2).

*Registration, Certification, Assessor and Verifier allocation is provided by our sister company QSP Training Ltd who are the approved assessment centre for WAMITAB.
